- Born and raised in Ashtabula.
- Graduated from St. John High School in 1974.
- Graduated from Youngstown State with BS/BA in Accounting in 1980.
- Has owned and operated Meola’s Bookkeeping & Tax Service from 1999 to the present.
- Has 3 married daughters.
Don has also served the local community for many years:
- Served 2 terms on the Board of Directors for Catholic Charities of Ashtabula.
- Served 20 years on the finance counsel of Our Lady of Peace Parish in Ashtabula.
- Served 1 term on the Board of Directors for Port Conneaut Federal Credit Union.
